Can’t even lie, when I saw they were building a 7-Eleven around the corner from our office, I was very happy. For those of you who know the west side business district of Murrieta, you also know that there are no gas stations in the area. Until now!

Yesterday, Monday January 24th, they held the grand opening of the new 7-Eleven at the northwest corner of Jefferson avenue and Eastman.
As per usual at Grand openings, they had a DJ and they were giving away free branded swag. I picked up a couple of water bottles and they’ll come in handy on hikes or while riding my mountain bike.
What I’m really excited about, is coffee, cookies and gas. Basically in that order. They also have pizza, hot dogs and all that other sort of good stuff. Of course they have a decent selection of beer, sports drinks and sodas.

The coffee bar in particular is pretty sweet. They have one of those cool new machines that will Brew your coffee for you right there after grinding the beans. The coffee I had yesterday had some good crema and decent flavor – especially considering it came from a gas station and not a $5 a cup coffee house. Surprisingly, their chocolate chunk cookies are really good. Super delicious.
If you have a credit union, their ATM machine doesn’t charge you to get your own money back, so that’s a big plus. All of the staff that I’ve met at the store has been nice and courteous. So, if you’re on the west side of town I need some gas or a tasty beverage of some sort, you no longer have zero options.
Cheers 🍻
