It was a rare day that traffic wasn’t too bad in Southern California and I actually got to my appointment far earlier than I had planned. So with an extra 30 minutes, I decided to have a little late morning snack.

The Breakfast Club of Menifee was near where my appointment was scheduled, so I decided to stop in and see what they had. I had been there a few times years prior when I lived in Menifee. The few times I had been there years ago, I was not overly impressed, but I figured since they were still in business they must be doing something right.
Indeed they are doing something right! I wasn’t super hungry so I ordered myself a glass of orange juice, a pancake and some of their Breakfast club potatoes. I was very pleased. The orange juice seemed to be freshly squeezed, the potatoes were hot, seasoned well enough and not too salty and the pancake was absolutely fantastic. It was light and fluffy with just a hint of sweetness, a nice crust on the outside (but not burnt). Absolutely perfect.
Additionally, I asked for some Pico de Gallo for my potatoes – and while they did not have pico, they did have freshly made salsa. It had just a hint of heat, a lot of that classic pico de gallo flavor and tasted excellent on the potatoes.
If you find yourself traveling to Menifee California and need a tasty breakfast, I recommend you stop in there and try them out yourself.
