Today is my 19th wedding anniversary with my beautiful bride Jeney Kingsbury. I am certainly doing this workout mission for myself, if you don’t do it for yourself, it won’t really stick. That goes for anything in life. But I am also doing it for Jeney, Apryl and for my family.
I figure if I don’t get my health in order now, while I’m still young enough to do it, time would slip away and it will end up being too late. I sure as hell don’t want that to happen. I want to be here doing awesome stuff for at least another four decades. So here I am today, on day 24 of exercise, counting calories, reading labels – and I feel damn good for doing it.

Today I have a busy day, between work and having an anniversary lunch at one of our favorite local restaurants Anthony’s Lounge & Ristorante. So this morning I got in a 25 minute bike ride for a total of 6 miles. I upped my game a little bit and got in 50 modified push-ups.
I had a follow up doctor’s appointment yesterday, he said I’m showing good progress.
Some of the best news: he believes if I continue with my current progress it’s entirely possible by the end of the year I will be off my heart and blood pressure medication. I really look forward to making that happen!

I hope you all have an amazing Valentine’s Day – whether it’s with your loved one or with yourself. I was fortunate enough to get these awesome flowers from Jeney.
Also, it’s Taco tuesday, so you can’t go wrong
