Through my journey of getting healthier, I have cut back my drinking – a lot. Heck, for 2.5 weeks I didn’t drink at all! That said, I do still want a beer some days. So in the effort to keep my blood pressure down, I have been trying out non-alcoholic beers. Some of them have .5% alcohol, some of them have 0.0% alcohol. These first three beers that I tried did not bubble to the top.
The ‘Heavenly Body Golden Wheat’ from WB Brewing company out of Maryland Heights Missouri was absolutely awful. This one has 0.5% alcohol. It tasted like fermented bananas mixed with dirty water. I would never recommend anybody drink this.

Next I tried the Atmos Brewing Co ‘Alturas na golden’. This one comes out of Hailey Idaho. It contains only 47 calories and 0.5% alcohol. I suspect it has only 47 calories because it mostly tasted like water. It did have a nice golden color to it, but very little flavor. It was not terrible like the proceeding one, but it was incredibly foamy and not something I would drink again.
The last beer that would fall into the ‘not great’ category is the Woodland Farms Brewery ‘Pointer IPA’. This brewery comes out of Kittery Maine. At first sip, this one wasn’t too bad. However by the time I was about halfway through this can, I found myself completely unenthused. This one contains 80 calories, 32 IBU and has .5% alcohol. Certainly not the worst, but definitely not the best.
In my next non alcoholic beer post I will review the Heineken 0.0 alcohol-free beer, the Guinness 0 non-alcoholic and the Stella Artois liberté 0.0.
